Eucon Holds First
College Graduation Ceremony
MAY 6, 2006 -
Eucon International College marked an historic event in its
ministry by conducting its first commencement ceremony.
The event also marked the first graduation for a private
Christian college in the Commonwelath of the Northern Mariana
Islands (CNMI).
The two women in
the first graduating class, Selena (Hai Lan) Li and Esther (Hua
Ping) Shan, completed four years of study at Eucon to earn bachelor
of science degrees in education. "God's grace upheld them," reports
Eucon president Christian Wei. "Both women came to our college
without knowing any English, but now they are both fluent
in English."
The CNMI governor planned to attend the commencement
but, when a last-minute conflict arose, the governor's press
secretary came and delivered a message of congratulations and
support. The commencement speaker was Rev. Mark Vowels, Director
for the Office of Missions at Bob Jones University in
Greenville, South Carolina. He challenged the graduates and audience
with his message that "Jesus Never Fails."

Accreditation Candidacy Granted to Eucon
International College
NOVEMBER 29,
2005 - Eucon International College of Saipan was granted
candidate status for accreditation through the Transnational
Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS), a body
recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for
Higher Education Accreditation. Candidacy confers upon Eucon
International College the privileges of accreditation. This
status indicates that Eucon has achieved initial
recognition and is progressing toward full accreditation.
By unanimous vote, the TRACS Commission of Accreditation
concurred that Eucon "has provided evidence of sound planning and
the resources to implement its plans and appears to have
the potential for attaining its goals within a reasonable
time."
